Local Musicians:

Dan Costello:
"My guitar work is a schizo-sonic mix of classical, bluegrass banjo, funk, grunge, and jazz.

Nathan Jay Moody: I'm partial to Nathan's acoustic playing and he does it very well. Not your typical 3 chord progression.
He busts out some very cool blues and it's not your typical 12-bar shuffle.
This guy pulls off what the lighter waving ballad songs tried to accomplish.
His instrumentals rival virtuoso guitar greats like Adrian Legg. Very cool sound.

Jonny Lang: If you haven't heard of him or heard his music you are missing out.
I used to go to Jonny's shows when he was working the Minneapolis music scene. As great as Jonny's performances were back then they pale in comparison to what he and his shows have evolved into.
Jonny will be in Boise performing at the Knitting Factory on July 19th at 7PM. www.jonnylang.com
Sarah McCoy and The Zippidy Yeah's: To say Sarah has a good voice is akin to stating that Everest is a mountain.
Her style is her own. Though strong and raspy she isn't trying to imitate predecessors with similar attributes. Check her out!! Sarah's MySpace Page
JJ Grey & Mofro: Born and raised just outside of Jacksonville, Florida, Grey comes from a long tradition of Southern musical storytellers and, like the best of the great Southern writers, he fills his songs with details that are at once vivid and personal, political and universal.

Mississippi John Hurt: John has long since passed but his influence on legions continue. His effortless picking and masterful story telling fit well into a Sunday morning with a cup of coffee or glass of bourbon after a long days work. If you have never heard his music, you will soon recognize his uncanny ability to have his guitar "sing" the lines within his songs. www.msjohnhurtmuseum.com
